Simple process. Clear updates.
We keep it tight so things move fast. Understand the workflow, plan the system, build in stages, launch it properly.
Discovery
We learn how your current process works, where the delays are, and what the system really needs to solve.
Planning
We organize features, prioritize the important parts, and map screens and system flow before writing any code.
Development
We build in stages with visible progress each week. You see what works and what needs adjustment.
Launch
We test, deploy, and handle final fixes so the system is ready for real users, not just a polished demo.
Frequently asked questions.
Straight answers about what we build, how we work, and how to get started.
01 What does jjan.dev do?
jjan.dev is a software studio based in Cebu, Philippines. We design and build custom mobile, web, and desktop applications — replacing spreadsheets, chat threads, and manual follow-up with systems your team can actually run its work on.
02 Where is jjan.dev based, and who do you work with?
We are based in Cebu City and work with businesses, founders, schools, and growing teams across the Philippines. Projects run remotely, so where you are in the country is not a constraint.
03 What kinds of systems have you built?
Shipped products include SmartEskwela, a school management platform covering enrollment, attendance, grading, billing, and parent access; PayrollPAW, Philippine-compliant desktop payroll software with SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG built in; LottoScan, a mobile lotto ticket scanner and PCSO results tracker; and Sakay Cebu, a commuter app for Cebu routes and transport options. Recent work also includes book and author sites — Secrets in the Desert for Danna Schweitzer and Success Is Within You for Michael W. Jackson. Currently in build: the Momentum Outreach System and Lakbay Trails, a Philippine hiking-trail discovery platform.
04 How does the development process work?
Four stages. Discovery — we learn how your current process works and where the delays are. Planning — we prioritize features and map screens and system flow before any code is written. Development — we build in stages with visible progress every week. Launch — we test, deploy, and handle final fixes so the system is ready for real users.
05 Can you build software that works without a reliable internet connection?
Yes. Desktop software is one of our core services precisely for teams that need performance and reliability even with unstable or no internet. PayrollPAW, for example, runs as a desktop app backed by a local SQLite database.
06 Can you fix an existing system instead of building from scratch?
Yes. Integration and rescue is an explicit service — connecting tools that do not talk to each other, fixing messy systems, and untangling setups that are slowing your team down.
07 How do I start a project?
Send us an email with a short description of the workflow you want to improve. The first step is a discovery conversation about how your process works today.
Your system should grow with your team.
Based in Cebu. We work with businesses, founders, and schools across the Philippines.
